摘要: New York City (NYC) is a complex megacity with diverse human population situated in constellation of estuarine and terrestrial ecosystems. With over 20 million people the metropolitan region, NYC nevertheless has rich biodiversity that provides broad suite ecosystem services, new assessments underway city government, NGOs, universities. contains most parkland any U.S. currently about 21 % covered by tree canopy. PlaNYC, environmental economic sustainability plan for NYC, set goal planting one trees 2017, hope canopy cover will reach 30 2030. However, significant challenges to local regional remain, including pollution, climate change, sea level rise, stormwater management, growth.
