Reduced platelet monoamine oxidase activity in a subgroup of schizophrenic patients.

摘要: Platelet monoamine oxidase (MAO) activity was significantly lower than control values in a subgroup of 16 schizophrenic patients (most whom were paranoid) characterized by the presence auditory hallucinations and delusions. MAO not reduced other without hallucinations. This finding suggests that platelet is found all but tends to occur clinically identifiable subgroup.
