摘要: The container-storage yard is of particular importance for seaport container terminals, since it the terminal’s central part from both geographical and processual point view. Most terminal operations either originate or cease at yard, such that most are directly indirectly affected by storage-yard operations. Therefore, operational performance terminals as a whole to large extent determined yard. In this chapter, firstly characterised thereafter its measures their discussed. Then, different types systems compared and—to motivate further investigation—the automated RMGC system found be great relevance modern terminals. As consequence, comparison followed detailed description variants.
