3D modeling of historic sites using range and image data

摘要: Preserving cultural heritage and historic sites is an important problem. These are subject to erosion, vandalism, as long-lived artifacts, they have gone through many phases of construction, damage repair. It keep accurate record these using 3-D model building technology currently are, so preservationists can track changes, foresee structural problems, allow a wider audience "virtually" see tour sites. Due the complexity sites, models time consuming difficult, usually involving much manual effort. This paper discusses new methods that reduce build automatic methods. Examples shown in reconstructing Cathedral Ste. Pierre Beauvais, France.
