摘要: Aims: To isolate and characterize the novel bioflocculant-producing bacteria, to optimize bioflocculant production evaluate its potential applications. Methods Results: Klebsiella pneumoniae strain NY1, a bacterium that produces (MNXY1), was selected on chemically defined media. It classified according 16S rRNA gene sequence, morphological microscopic characteristics. MNXY1 characterized contain 26% protein 66% total sugar. The constituent sugar monomers of MNXY1, revealed by NMR analysis, are glucose, galactose quinovose. Favourable culture conditions for were determined. Strain NY1 high level (14.9 g l−1) MNXY1. is thermostable tolerant extreme pH. precipitated 54% cyanobacteria from laboratory 72% suspended solids raw wastewater. Conclusions: identified produce outstanding performance in practical applications availability copious amounts make it attractive further investigation development industrial scale applications. Significance Impact Study: This first report identification quinovose-containing application protein–polysaccharide complex precipitation cyanobacteria. These findings suggest holds great use management harmful algae city wastewater treatment.
