摘要: The changes in DNA methylation status cancer cells are characterized by hypermethylation of promoter CpG islands and diffuse genomic hypomethylation. Alu long interspersed nucleotide element-1 (LINE-1) non-coding repetitive sequences these elements can be used as a surrogate marker for genome-wide status. This study was designed to evaluate the LINE-1 hypomethylation during breast progression from normal pre-invasive lesions invasive (IBC), their relationship with characteristics IBC. We analyzed 145 cases samples including tissue, atypical ductal hyperplasia/flat epithelial atypia (ADH/FEA), carcinoma situ (DCIS) IBC, another set 129 IBC pyrosequencing. showed no significant multistep cancer, although it tended decrease transition DCIS In contrast, significantly decreased ADH/FEA, while similar correlated negative estrogen receptor (ER) status, associated ER ERBB2 (HER2) amplification p53 overexpression. different between subtypes, HER2 enriched subtype had lowest levels. survival analyses, low poor disease-free patients. Our findings suggest that is an early event probably late progression, prominent may related chromosomal instability this specific subtype.
