摘要: Abstract Lambs infected with Ostertagia circumcincta larvae and uninfected controls were either dosed 5 g copper oxide wire particles (cowr) or remained undosed. The change in abomasal pH was monitored from duodenal digesta that liver concentration initial biopsy samples obtained at necropsy after 22 days. Infection increased the of 2 · to 4 5. content sheep not treated COWP +6-1 mg (12·6 per cent) −6·8 (13·8 control sheep, respectively. Significantly greater amounts recovered abomasa than animals (3 6 ± 0 23 1 0·55 g, respectively) hepatic uptake 7 8 cent dose, There significant relationships between contents cowr retained, soluble copper. It concluded that, through causing an increase digesta, gastrointestinal nematodes interfere metabolism.
