摘要: We report a new sample transfer system, developed for combined reflection absorption infrared spectroscopy/low‐energy electron diffraction/Auger apparatus, which enables single crystal samples to be transferred under ultrahigh vacuum (UHV) conditions while still retaining the facility varying and monitoring temperature. The important feature of this design is that direct temperature measurement at not sacrificed in order gain transferability. This advance will allow moved from preparation chambers into reaction where situ studies may carried out catalytically relevant pressure conditions. Such research vital closing ‘‘pressure gap’’ exists present between on characterized crystals low those uncharacterized catalysts industrially high
