Evaluation of a Large Group Method in an Educational Institution: The World Café versus Large Group Facilitation.

摘要: This article reports on the use of a large group method, theWorld Cafe, compared to facilitation in an educational institutional setting Oman. Change is central many institutions as they aspire ensure quality procedures and processes are implemented maintained. One difficulties introducing change within this context number stakeholders involved, well inherent hierarchical nature these settings. Large methods (LGM) one such intervention for that seeks involve maximum minimise hierarchies, while at same time encouraging participation creating engagement. To evaluate LGM setting, study two different workshop techniques: was run using other conducted (LGF). Results indicated Cafe superior LGF terms increases participant knowledge understanding. Participants who took part were also significantly more likely indicate technique beneficial their learning, those LGF. Qualitative data form comments provide support LGM.
