摘要: Purpose: The Cu efflux transporter ATP7A is overexpressed in some cisplatin-resistant ovarian carcinoma cell lines. We examined the expression of major normal human organs and several types malignancies sought to determine whether changed during treatment carcinomas with Pt-containing regimens. Experimental Design: was quantified by immunohistochemical staining using microarrays containing malignant tissues, standard sections 54 paired tumor samples obtained from patients before after at least two cycles platinum-based therapy. Results: expressed endometrium, prostate, testis, kidney but not detected other organs. most common malignancies, including prostate (7 7), breast (10 10), lung (8 8), colon (5 ovary (6 as well a wide variety malignancy. 28 treatment. Patients increased (18 54) exhibited poorer actuarial survival ( P Conclusions: Although detectable tissues it considerable fraction many types. Enrichment for ATP7A-expressing cells platinum drug-based cancers associated poor survival. These findings are agreement results vitro studies this laboratory demonstrating that renders resistant cisplatin carboplatin.
