摘要: High specific surface area powders of Mo 2 N have been prepared by temperature-programmed reaction MoO 3 and ammonia. This topotactic transformation produces small nitn'de particles that an orientation relation with the original large trioxide platelets. Unsupported stable obtained as much 224 m g -1 measured BET adsorption. Bulk structure was studied x-ray diffraction, characterized selective chemisorption CO. The were active catalysts for NH synthesis. Turnover rates based on titration sites CO indicate a pronounced effect particle size catalytic activity. confirms structure-sensitive character ammonia
