摘要: Asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) have negative consequences for work performance. Sick leave disability not only lead to high costs society, but also a loss of social fulfilment in life through work, which may reduce quality life. The objective this thesis was investigate associations between broad array different factors sick workers with asthma COPD. Factors we investigated were disease characteristics, health complaints, functional limitations, psychosocial variables, workers? knowledge about the management their diagnosis. We especially focused on adaptation limitations regarding leave. Adaptation is considered as an active way coping individual adapts chronic disorder he suffering from. This involves behavioural change, accepts situation. conducted three studies. First, qualitative study using focusgroup interviews (2001). For second study, cohort 189 COPD underwent pulmonary function test completed questionnaires (2002). In third 165 participants again after one year. main finding that inadequate associated Secondly, within population COPD, parameters expressing severity disease, such level obstruction (FEV1), Thirdly, more perceived control over complaints less last conclusion adequate limitations.
