摘要: Physical inactivity is an important contributor to non-communicable diseases in countries of high income, and increasingly so those low middle income. Understanding why people are physically active or inactive contributes evidence-based planning public health interventions, because eff ective programmes will target factors known cause inactivity. Research into correlates (factors associated with activity) determinants (those a causal relationship) has burgeoned the past two decades, but mostly focused on individual-level high-income countries. It shown that age, sex, status, self-effi cacy, motivation physical activity. Ecological models take broad view behaviour causation, social environment included as contributors inactivity, particularly outside sector, such urban planning, transportation systems, parks trails. New areas research have identifi ed genetic contributing propensity be active, evolutionary obesity might predispose explored longitudinal tracking activity throughout life. An understanding determinants, especially could reduce ect future epidemics contribute global prevention diseases.
