摘要: Abstract This article assesses the impact of n-butanol (nB) and iso-butanol (isoB) as components a butanol-acetone (BA) mixture on spray, combustion, engine performance emission characteristics. The macroscopic spray characteristics including penetration, cone angle volume n-/iso-BA-diesel blends were measured at two injection pressures 300 bar 500 bar. A direct visualisation technique high speed camera was used to analyse images that obtained. results show both n- iso-BA-diesel achieved slightly higher penetration distance compared pure diesel, resulting in better fuel-air distribution mixing. Two blend ratios (10% 20%) iso- n-BA-diesel tested single-cylinder DI diesel three speeds: 1400, 2000 2600 rpm at full load. included measuring following parameters: pressure inside combustion cylinder; brake power (BP); specific fuel consumption (BSFC). exhaust gas emissions temperature (EGT); oxide nitrogen (NOx); unburnt hydrocarbons (UHC); carbon monoxide (CO); dioxide (CO2). from blended with BA also baseline. for 10 iso-BA-90 showed slight improvement BP by 4% medium speed, while 20iso-BA-diesel, 20 lower comparable all speeds. highest peak in-cylinder blends. BSFC BTE increased CO reduced increase n-BA iso-BA blend. Both NOx EGT decreased diesel. UHC concentration Thus, it can be concluded pressure, resulted levels regard UHC. Therefore, using together an additive could suitable obtain optimum performance.
