摘要: Summary Kinetic methods of measuring rates glucose turnover, utilizing C 14 -labeled glucose, were applied to human subjects bearing a variety neoplasms. By decline the blood specific activity after single injection uniformly labeled glucose-C , net turnover estimated. In seventeen patients with cancer average value 131 ± 29 mg/kg body weight/hr was not significantly different from 120 17 mg/kg/hr observed for ten cancer-free subjects. Since this procedure gives only uncorrected resynthesized 3-carbon metabolites via Cori cycle, new applied, based on randomization labeling which occurs when glucose-1-C is broken down fragments and glucose. seven “corrected” ranged 124 370 mg/kg/hr, an 192/kg/hr, as compared 161 four normal Average recycling 50 20 cancerous 26 6 normals. The data indicate that replacement may be higher in cancer, but differences marked one would have expected view generally high glycolytic tumors vitro .
