摘要: Khoobyarian, Newton (University of Illinois, Chicago). Interference induced against vaccinia in an adenovirus-RHF-1 system. J. Bacteriol. 87:24-32. 1964.-It was observed that a continuous line rabbit heart cell culture (strain RHF-1), when overlaid with growth medium after infection cultures adenovirus types 2, 3, 4, and 7, would develop resistance to plaque formation. Data are presented provide some information on the nature such specifically 2-RHF-1 An analysis this phenomenon indicated following. (i) At least 6 hr were required before start inhibition, 15 18 necessary for maximal occurrence inhibition; degree interference established varied concentration adenovirus. (ii) The site action inside rather than outside cells, since hardly any difference could be shown rate adsorption resistant susceptible cells. (iii) interaction RHF-1 cells not only inhibit but also suppress 24- 48-hr yield virus. (iv) When maintenance their low multiplicity passaged 2 (to establish sublethal infection), inhibitory substance activity detected daily over period at 10 days which, transferred normal cultures, render them infection. (v) Although limited virus appeared responsible production inhibitor, increase did seem coincide titer. (vi) inhibitor seemed resemble interferons inhibiting production, its exact identity mode remain determined.
