Advances in Intra-abdominal Sepsis: What Is New?

摘要: We have reviewed the literature regarding recent advances in management of intra-abdominal sepsis, with a focus on antimicrobial agents, duration therapy, and source control. Several important developments these areas are discussed this review. The introduction new agent—ceftolozane/tazobactam—marks first novel agent for treating infections number years, its indications use supporting evidence here. In addition, we discuss that clarifies importance early control infection data suggests an abbreviated course therapy is equally effective as prolonged therapy.
