摘要: Salbutamol is a beta-adrenergic agonist that used in the treatment of asthma humans and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease horses. Because its stimulating growth promoting properties, it prohibited by horse racing authorities. Recently number adapters (eg Equinehaler) have been designed, allowing use metered dose inhalers (MDI) approved for human use. However, information on detection times salbutamol after administration therapeutic doses inhalation lacking. In this study, 2 mg (Ventolin) was administered to four standardbred mares via an MDI with Equinehaler urine collected during 48 h. Quantification done overnight beta-agonist ELISA kit. detected between 1 h post-administration. Relatively large interindividual variations total amount excreted first 12 were noticed. The maximum urinary concentrations varied 4.6 8.1 ng/mL. within 0.2 0.7% dose. For confirmatory analysis doping control, GC/MS(2) method developed validated. Analysis performed ion trap instrument solid phase extraction. limit 0.25 ng/mL lower than previously reported methods urine.
