摘要: CT, MRI and neurological features of 27 children with tuberous sclerosis were prospectively compared. Imaging studies positive in 92.5% cases. CT was more useful detecting subependymal nodules, while showed the number location cerebral cortical subcortical lesions accurately. Cortical cerebellar hemispheres present 26% patients. Gadolinium-DTPA used 10 patients slight enhancement 80% cases, probably representing active alteration blood-brain barrier. None enhanced. Giant-cell astrocytomas detected 5 patients, postcontrast improving their assessment. Unlike all tumors marked regardless size. Seizures 96% mostly beginning before 1 year age. There no clear relationship between radiological evolution these There-fore, it is not possible to establish a clinical prognosis based on findings. procedure choice diagnosis sclerosis. When pre are negative, exclude small calcified nodules. followup required only when tumoral development clinically suspected.
