摘要: Juvenile forms of Schistosoma mansoni (schistosomula) have been cultured in human blood various specificities and tested for the presence group substances on their surfaces. The tests employed were survival following transfer into rhesus monkeys immunized against substances, mixed agglutination reactions, immunofluorescence. A, B, H AND Lewisb+ antigens expressed at surface when parasites appropriate specificities. Rhesus, M N S, Duffy could not be detected parasite culture. evidence suggests that are host origin acquired by during culture, probably form glycolipids or megaloglycolipids. It is likely these also bloodstream man. They may serve to mask antigens, so enable schistosomes evade parasite-specific humoral cellular immune responses.
