摘要: Intensive research in the author’s laboratory over a 10-year period has now culminated precise determination of entire antigenic structure native hen egg-white lysozyme. The protein carries three sites. Each site is made up spatially adjacent surface residues that are not direct peptide linkage. each describe an imaginary line which circumscribes part topography and act functionally towards antibody as if they bond reactivity fully satisfied by appropriate surface-simulation synthetic peptide, sites account for full immunochemical protein. subject to conformational restrictions exhibits directionality function side chain orientations. myoglobin lysozyme compared.
