摘要: Introduction: Similar to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), electrical impedance myography (EIM) is dependent on the presence and location of water in muscle assess neuromuscular diseases. We compared 2 technologies mdx mice better understand their relationship. Methods: EIM MRI, using T2 relaxation diffusion-weighted (DWI), were performed gastrocnemius 10 wild-type mice. Muscle function tissue composition measurements with MRI data. Results: reactance mapping can discriminate healthy from diseased (P < 0.001 for both), but DWI could not. Both also correlated closely function/composition each other. Conclusion: Given low cost simplicity application, it may be a valuable alternative Duchenne muscular dystrophy, where simple cumulative indices health are being sought. Nerve 52: 598–604, 2015
