摘要: The effect of phosphorous on the integrity thermally grown aluminium oxide layer formed a platinum-aluminide coated single-crystal nickel-base superalloy (CMSX-4) was studied through oxidation tests for varying exposure times followed by analysis using scanning electron microscopy and microanalysis. samples were oxidized up to 72 hours in pure oxygen (0.2 atm) at 1150°C. Oxide spallation shown surface even after short (24 hour). fraction increased with time. Analysis revealed that associated spalled areas all conditions is proposed contribute failure weakening oxide/coating interface. A strong correlation observed between chromium, as chromium detected phosphorous-rich areas.
