Disarray of glomerular and tubular cell adhesion molecules in the course of experimental Bothrops moojeni envenomation

摘要: In this study, we show that administration of Bothrops moojeni venom in rats induces a general disturbance the distribution and content tight junctional protein ZO-1, cell-matrix receptor beta 1 integrin, cytoskeletal proteins, vinculin F-actin, extracellular matrix component laminin renal corpuscles cortical nephron tubules. These findings suggest cell-cell adhesion proteins may be molecular targets B. moojeni-induced kidney injury.
