Remote and autobiographical memory, temporal context memory and frontal atrophy in Korsakoff and Alzheimer patients

摘要: Abstract Korsakoff and Alzheimer patients were assessed on tests of remote, autobiographical, temporal context memory. On the remote memory tests, both groups showed a gradient across all measures used, although was significantly steeper in group. Both also marked improvement performance recognition testing. Correlations with an anterograde “memory quotient” relatively low, group, there evidence partial independence between for personal events/facts public events/facts. Better within group recall early memories correlated higher intelligence, whereas worse recent associated longer duration disorder. patient impaired at retrospective memory, but no association neuroradiological measure frontal atrophy only very weak correlation function.
