摘要: Siderophores are secondary metabolites produced by different organisms in order to scavenge iron from their surrounding environment making this essential element available the cell. Presenting high affinity for ferric iron, siderophores secreted out form soluble complexes that can be taken up organisms. present complex chemistry allows them strongest iron-chelating complexes. Interest field is always date and new found with roles applications. For example, participate mobilization of other elements involved virulence processes. Recently, a strong relation between oxidative stress tolerance has been also highlighted. Their application medicine widely studied as well agriculture. However, fields paying attention use green-iron chelators. In particular, have proposed preservation cultural heritage.
