Synthesis, crystal growth and characterization of Zn0.5Mn0.5Te single crystal grown via the Bridgman technique

摘要: The polycrystalline compound Zn0.5Mn0.5Te has been synthesized via the melt oscillation method. vertical Bridgman method was used to grow single crystals. crystalline phase confirmed by powder X-ray diffraction pattern analysis. Rietveld refinements were also carried out and there good agreement between calculated observed Bragg position. 2θ 2θ–ω scans recorded study perfection. stoichiometric chemical composition using energy dispersive spectrometry. cut off wavelength around 605 nm optical band gap be 2 eV from UV-vis-NIR spectroscopy. Raman spectra at ambient temperature in a back scattering geometry. exhibited high intensity first-order bands. In addition, several low second-order bands frequency range of 200 350 cm−1. Temperature dependent photoluminescence (PL) for grown crystal. At temperature, broad emission centered 2.0 found with excitation (Eexc) 2.7 eV. This corresponds 4T1 → 6A1 transition Mn2+. Electron spin resonance (ESR) measured 110–300 K magnetic field 0 10 kG 9.38 GHz.
