摘要: This research aimed to compare the effect of diets with white rice (IRGA 417) and pasta (spaghetti) on performance metabolic response in rats. Male Wistar rats were fed isonutritive respective foods as a main energetic source. Body weight gain, feed intake, serum albumin total protein levels, epididymal fat pads not affected by or consumption. The animals treatments presented lower wet dry fecal production, nitrogen excretion HDL cholesterol, higher apparent matter digestibility, uric acid cholesterol kidney pancreas weights than treatment. Thus, increasing Brazilian consumption disadvantage could be related increased incidence child adult malnutrition obesity, besides aggravate clinical status patients hyperuricemia
