Amendment of cavity perturbation technique for loss tangent measurement at microwave frequencies

摘要: Theoretically, the quality factor of a metal resonant cavity will be increased after introducing lossless dielectric sample. However, this increment is not put into consideration calculation loss tangent measurement for conventional perturbation method, widely used on measurements microwave properties. Therefore, formulas should amended. This amendment introduced in study and amended are given. With formulas, no standard sample required which simplifies measuring procedure suggested by previous publication. In addition, error formula discussed. Experiments have shown improvement accuracy modification.
