摘要: When adult heart cells are plated on a dish covered with monolayer of hepatocytes gradual morphological changes observed. While during the first day myofibrils still organized in rod-like shape, later become flat and spread top underlying hepatocytes. After two days most have flat, polygonal appearance myofibrillar bundles. At this stage they start spontaneous rhythmic contractions which characteristic for embryonic myocytes, but not isolated ventricular cells. In culture myocytes form specific contact structures to adjacent as well These results demonstrate phenotypical plasticity muscle believed be terminally differentiated.
