摘要: Schizophrenia is a devastating disorder that common, usually chronic, frequently associated with substantial co-morbidity for addictive and medical disorders and, as consequence, very costly in both personal economic terms. At present, no proven means preventing or modifying the course of illness exist. This review discusses evidence supporting ideas that: (i) impairments certain cognitive processes are core feature schizophrenia; (ii) these reflect abnormalities specific cortical circuits; (iii) circuitry arise during childhood-adolescence.
