摘要: A new laboratory animal model for studying the pathologic mechanisms of myoglobinuria in mice after envenomation with Pseudechis australis snake venom or its myotoxin has been established. The experimental (Swiss albino) had 60 min administration venom, as indicated by red dark-brown urine. Light microscopic studies revealed myonecrosis locally injected soleus muscle 30 exposure to myotoxin, followed regeneration 7 10 days. Electron fragmentation and dissolution Z disk, degeneration sarcomere. microscopy kidneys numerous pigmented casts filling lumen tubules; some tubules features acute tubular necrosis. Immunohistochemical localization myoglobin immunoperoxidase method confirmed renal tubules. also intratubular composed markedly electron-dense material lumen. These results indicate that rhabdomyolysis caused toxin is myoglobinuria, manifestations form cast nephropathy tubulopathy. This mouse venom-induced an ideal investigating entire sequence related nephropathy.
