摘要: ABSTRACT . Human α-amylase expressions in tissue and secretion sources yield complex phenotypes when subjected to discontinuous polyacrylamide sheet electrophoresis. Two loci, Amy j active the salivary glands 2 pancreas, produce different electrophoretic phenotypes. Genetic studies show Mendelian segregation of multiple alleles at each locus; however, involving double heterozygotes that two loci are closely linked with variant being either coupling or repulsion. Population data showing distributions 1 also presented. In addition genetic studies, biochemical separation amylase isozymes a modified system have allowed further resolution Data presented demonstrating isozyme patterns result post-translational modifications: glycosidation deamidation, both occurring expression deamidation pancreatic Salivary amylases were compared immunologic analyses employing diffusion found be immunologically indistinguishable. We combined this observation conclusion advance hypothesis duplication.
