摘要: The present studies aimed to determine whether cocaine- and amphetamine-regulated transcript (CART) peptide in the nucleus of accumbens shell (AcbSh) is implicated regulation food intake. Bilateral intranuclear injections CART (55-102, 1 microg/microl/side) into AcbSh decreased intake with no change locomotion activity attenuated orexigenic effect GABA(A) agonist muscimol (100 ng/microl/side) male Sprague-Dawley rats. Decreased after bilateral was more sustained freely fed rats than food-deprived rats, suggesting fuel availability an important factor modulating function feeding. Our anatomical findings indicate that addition perifornical region arcuate nucleus, some neurons within also project AcbSh. Moreover, many these efferent cells contain immunoreactivity, including those which reside AcbSh, accumbal circuitry involved central accumbens. Furthermore, fasting suppressed mRNA levels paraventricular hypothalamus, region, indicating Acb sensitive extent similar regions hypothalamus. are first demonstrate metabolic challenges injection has inhibitory on
