摘要: Vascular endothelial apoptosis is significantly associated with atherosclerosis and cardiovascular diseases, for which oxidized low-density lipoprotein (ox-LDL) a major risk factor. Allicin, the primary active ingredient of garlic, has been found to have protective effect by changing fatty-acid composition, but its on ox-LDL-induced vascular injury remains unclear. We investigated allicin cell viability, LDH release, apoptotic signaling in human umbilical vein cells (HUVECs). In cultured HUVEC line, ox-LDL induced was investigated. The viability were evaluated using proliferation Assay kit release assay. Annexin V-FITC kit. activity caspase-3 assessed colorimetric assay ROS production fluorometric NADPH oxidase GENMED Exposure HUVECs (150 μg/ml) reduced increased caspase-3, oxidase, reactive oxygen species (ROS) production. pretreatment (30 100 μM) rescued inhibited HUVECs, concentration-dependent. (100 μM) alone did not show significant difference from control. Our study demonstrated that protected reducing apoptosis, mediated inhibition related signaling. Allicin prevents inhibiting oxidative stress pathway.
