摘要: Abstract A water soluble derivative of benzophenone has been used to initiate the grafting acrylamide onto a copolymer styrene-(ethylene-co-butene)-styrene (SEBS). Irradiation at 350 nm is carried out through polymer film in contact with an aqueous solution monomer and photo-initiator such way that light absorbed very close surface film. In absence hydrogen donor solution, no modification can be detected but addition 2 vol % isopropanol results simultaneous homopolymerization. Adsorption necessary condition for abstraction occur from this not sufficient acrylamide. The show induction period, during which homopolymerization proceeds, required before detected. Grafting recombination SEBS radicals formed growing polyacrylamide chains initiated surface. That mechanism possible because inhomogeneous absorption existence thin viscous layer homopolymer produced period. Surface by same other polymers also possible.
