摘要: Low self-esteem has been shown to relate concurrent and later feelings of loneliness in adolescence. However, it remains unclear why low puts adolescents at risk for experiencing loneliness. Further, longitudinal research on the direction effects between is virtually non-existent. The present study aims fill these gaps literature. First, was investigated two independent studies: a five-wave sampling Dutch (M age = 15.22 years T1; 47 % female; N = 428) three-wave Belgian age = 14.95 years 63 % N = 882). Second, underlying role social acceptance latter sample by applying multi-method approach that included actual (i.e., peer-reported) perceived self-reported) acceptance. Results indicated influenced one another reciprocal manner.
