摘要: Over the years, Israel's centralized national planning framework and intense competition on limited available land played a crucial factor in designing spatial distribution of protected areas Israel. When examining properties areas, it was found that they do not adequately represent variety ecosystems According to systematic conservation approach, we aimed examine how optimization algorithms (e.g., MARXAN) would inform us high priority for conservation. We created proxies anthropogenic disturbance, susceptibility designating new subject existing regional use master plans. Our targets were defined basis 461 endangered vertebrate plant species (red species), as well by defining mapping 21 main ecosystems. The results highlight options significantly improving representativeness provided due diminishing availability open which may be designated areas. However, also emphasize potential agricultural land, need preserving small fragmented rare habitats.
