Tin-(IV) dopant-controlled synthesis of Yb3+/Er3+:NaGdF4 nanocrystals: Morphology transformation and intensified upconversion performance

摘要: Abstract Hexagonal Yb3+/Er3+:NaGdF4 nanocrystals codoped with Sn4+ ions were produced via an adjustive solvothermal approach. Simultaneous morphology regulation and intensified upconversion (UC) luminescence of achieved through doping. Upon introducing into the NaGdF4 host, a part converted to nanocubes. By optimizing doping content 40 mol%, UC intensity green red emissions by 21 31 times, respectively. Moreover, possible mechanisms for transformation enhancement Sn4+-doped discussed elaborately. Additionally, in contrast sample fabricated co-precipitation method, result indicated that 40 mol% was about 2.5 times higher than former one. This research could be helpful designing high-performance materials fulfilling their practical applications.
