Susceptibility of Streptococcus faecalis to 32 antimicrobial agents: comparison of patterns in Poland and Federal Republic of Germany

摘要: Two hundred and twenty strains of Streptococcus faecalis (103 isolated in Poland 117 Federal Republic Germany), were tested for antibiotic-susceptibility to 32 antimicrobial agents by agar dilution technique. Most effective vitro appeared ampicillin, penicillin G, a combination (1:1) streptomycin. Partly also macrolide antibiotics, trimethoprim + sulfamethoxazole five tetracyclines. Other including cephalosporin derivatives, aminoglycoside two lincomycins, polymyxins, chloramphenicol fucidin, practically ineffective vitro. Effectiveness antimicrobials was considered on the basis standard bioavailability agents. No differences patterns any practical significance found, when Germany compared.
