摘要: The present study was performed on Mg-based alloys containing Zn and Mn. were cast in a permanent metallic mold preheated to 200°C with protective atmosphere of dry air, CO2, SF6. Two main phases are observed the as-cast condition: Mg-Al-Zn Mn-Al intermetallics. size morphology phase significantly affected by concentration Al. Tensile properties, using standard ASTM B-108 samples, directly related size, morphology, density existing particles. alloy ductility is reduced increase Al concentration, whereas ultimate tensile strength yield more or less stable. fracture surface tested bars mostly ductile for low Al-containing tends be brittle content as evidenced an cleavage ruptured areas.
