摘要: Selfish genetic elements that manipulate gametogenesis to achieve a transmission advantage are known as meiotic drivers. Sex-ratio X chromosomes (SR) drivers prevent the maturation of Y-bearing sperm in male carriers result production mainly female progeny. The spread an SR chromosome can affect host diversity and genome evolution, even cause extinction if it reaches sufficiently high prevalence. Meiotic have evolved independently many times, though only few cases is underlying mechanism known. In this study we use combination transcriptomics population genetics identify widespread expression differences between standard (ST) sex-ratio fly Drosophila neotestacea. We found enriched for differentially expressed transcripts these X-linked had elevated Ka /Ks values ST SR, indicative potential functional differences. identified set candidate transcripts, including testis-specific, duplicate nuclear transport gene importin-α2 overexpressed SR. find suggestions positive selection lineage leading its molecular evolutionary patterns consistent with relaxed purifying ST. As involvement drive species, strong worthy further investigation. Nuclear may be common target conflict, autosomal Segregation Distorter system D. melanogaster involves same pathway.
