摘要: Cardiac resynchronisation therapy (CRT) using biventricular (BIV) pacing has proved its effectiveness to correct myocardial asynchrony and improve clinical status of patients with severe congestive heart failure (CHF) widened QRS. Despite a different effect on left ventricular electrical dispersion, univentricular (LV) is able achieve the same mechanical synchronisation as BIV in experimental studies humans. This results benefits LV at mid-term follow-up, significant improvement functional class, quality life exercise tolerance extent those observed stimulation non randomised studies. Furthermore these are obtained lesser costs conventional dual-chamber devices. However, be compared trials before being definitely considered cost-effective alternative pacing.
