摘要: The parasitic nematode Howardula aoronymphium causes severe fertility reduction and sterility in females of several species mycophagous Drosophila. Infected Drosophila putrida recover their when kept at a postemergence temperature 29 C but not 27 or below. When given choice temperatures thermal gradient, neither this species, falleni, nor neotestacea manifested adaptive behavioral fever response to parasitism. However, our conclusions concerning D. falleni remain tentative because small sample sizes.
