摘要: Human papillomaviruses (HPVs) infect the squamous epithelium and can induce benign malignant lesions. To date, more than 200 different HPV types have been identified classified into five genera, α, β, γ, μ, ν. While high-risk α mucosal HPVs a well-established role in cervical carcinoma significant percentage of other anogenital tract oral carcinomas, biology cutaneous β their contribution to non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC) has less studied. Although association infection with NMSC patients rare, genetically determined condition, epidermodysplasia verruciformis well established, normal population remains controversial. In stark contrast HPV-associated cancers, presence genome does not appear be mandatory for maintenance phenotype. Moreover, mechanism action E6 E7 oncoproteins differs from oncoproteins.
