A histogram-based approach for object-based query-by-shape-and-color in image and video databases

摘要: Considering the fact that querying by low-level object features is essential in image and video data, an efficient approach for retrieval shape color proposed. The employs three specialized histograms, (i.e. distance, angle, histograms) to store feature-based information extracted from objects. objects can be images or frames. proposed histogram-based used as a component query-by-feature subsystem of database management system. handled together enrich capabilities content-based retrieval. evaluation effectiveness robustness presented via performance experiments.
