摘要: Patterns of cytokine expression were analyzed in polyclonal and antigenic responses children with perinatal HIV infection. Responses PBL to PMA A23187 calcium ionophore studied patients different stages infection revealed reduced levels IL-2 HIV-infected beginning before 6 mo age, age-dependent increases IL-4, IL-10, IFN-gamma. The IFN-gamma did not differ significantly between age-matched uninfected HIV-seropositive mothers, except for a small reduction late PHA, HLA alloantigens, envelope peptides T1 P18, tetanus toxoid PBMC derived from asymptomatic mildly symptomatic children. IL-2, IFN-gamma, IL-5 was detected PHA-stimulated all patients. who failed respond toxoid, or the had lower numbers CD4+ cells expressed, on PHA stimulation, higher IL-4 than responded stimulation. Results these analyses suggest that depends character stimuli as well phenotype PBMC, indicate possible prevalence Th2 Ag-specific during progression HIV-induced immunodeficiency.
