摘要: We evaluated the influence of high ambient glucose on cellular expression adhesion molecules, known to mediate endothelial interaction leucocytes and monocytes. Paired cultures individual isolates human umbilical vein cells (HUVECs) were studied by fluorescence activated cell sorter analysis after exposure 30 vs 5 mmol/l glucose. Incubation HUVECs for 24 h in increased ICAM-1 (intercellular molecule-1; 116.4±16.9% control, p ≤ 0.05), but not PECAM (platelet molecule) expression, compared kept Long-term (13±1 days) 122.5±32.2% (p<0.002) reduced that 86.9±21.3% respective control culture (p<0.02). Stimulation confluent HUVECs, 13±1 days, with 20 U/ ml interleukin-1 (ICAM-1) 4 (endothelial leukocyte molecule 1) resulted (84.8±27.0%, p<0.05) molecule-1 (87.6±22.4%, cells, while (t: h) vascular 16 remained unchanged. In conclusion, it appears differences molecules response reflects toxicity, which may also induce dysfunction diabetes.
