Advances in Treating Skin Defects of the Hand

摘要: Surgeons and scientists have been developing alternative methods of hand reconstruction that may play an adjunctive role to, or completely supplant, more traditional reconstructive modalities. This article provides overview these emerging techniques, with emphasis on skin substitutes negative-pressure wound therapy as they apply to the treatment soft tissue defects hand. The indications, contraindications, relative advantages disadvantages techniques are discussed in detail.
