Flow Patterns in Rheologically Evolving Model Fluids Produced by Hybrid Dual Mixing Systems

摘要: The flow patterns produced by two dual mixing systems composed of independently driven impellers were studied. included a turbine rotating at high speed (Rushton or Smith) and slowly helical ribbon agitator (HR). Visualizations power input used to evaluate performance. influence the rotational ratio on was evaluated. For shear-thinning fluids, N T /N HR modifies considerably. Three typical behaviors found with shear thinning fluids: segregation principal (N 10), well-distributed pattern throughout tank =10). low-viscosity motionless reduced vortex length T-HR eliminated when rotated in opposite directions =10. Finally, relationship between dimensionless Froude number is proposed for individual turbines as well turbine-motionless systems.
